Good Luck Star

Hello!

I hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend if you're in the UK and enjoyed all of this gorgeous sun we've had for the last couple of days! I went in to Leeds yesterday and nearly melted it was so hot and then spent the afternoon re-arranging my bedroom so I had room to do some Wii Fit yoga, well...so I can do some yoga when I buy a balance board to do it on! =)

I've had a very exciting hour and a half in the kitchen earlier with my housemates Tom and Stefan trying to figure out why the washing machine wasn't working after it didn't drain properly and half flooded the kitchen when I opened the door! Luckily it decided it was finally going to drain after I'd taken my soaking wet washing out and wrung it out in the sink! We think the filter's a little blocked but none of us can unscrew it from the machine to clean it! So it's been quite a fun evening so far!

Anywho, I've got a little card for you today and I thought I'd do something a little bit different and get adventurous (for me anyway!) with a bit of distressing.

I've used a little 3x3" card, the papers are Bo Bunny Very Vintage Double Dot Designs, the star die used on the backing is Memory Box Cosmic Star Border and I've used the 'waste' from the die rather then the die cut itself, if you see what I mean!
The 'Good Luck' stamp is from the Lili of the Valley SET 18 Greetings Postmarks stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and then I've distressed the edges of everything with Rich Cocoa as well. The star was drawn and then I went round the edges with a Burnt Sienna Promarker to make it looked stamped as well.

I've entered this in to two different challenges; Papertake Weekly's 'Anything Goes' and Less is More's 'Colour Challenge' where you had to pick two opposite colours from the colour wheel.

I chose Orange-Yellow and Blue-Violet, or as close as I could get with what I have!

Anywho, hope you like it!
