New York Goodies and New PTW Challenge.

Hello!

So my sister went to New York a couple of weeks ago with Uni, not for anything in particular, they just decided to go to New York which is nice for some ;) but she did bring me back some awesome things...

...an I <3 NY hoodie and t-shirt, Captain America badges and keyring, sweets (Baby Ruth bars are my favourite!) a fantastic Mickey Mouse figurine and the first issue of The Walking Dead graphic novel! She also randomly bought me A Mickey Mouse breakfast set and note book and a teddy of one of the baby bears from Brave from the Disney store at home! I've since eaten the Baby Ruth bar but haven't started the rest of the sweets, and I've tried the hoodie on which is meant to be a small; I could barely get my head through the collar, and the bottom and the cuffs were a bit tight but the actual body looked as if it was an extra large so not sure if I'll be wearing that =/

Anywho, on to today's card for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is 'Hot Hot Hot' and here's the card I made:

I made this card a while ago for another PTW challenge and didn't get round to putting it on. I do quite like it but there's something I'm not sure on and I don't know what it is.

The image is from Pink Cat Studio and is a rubber stamp collection called 'Dress Up Billy' that I got from Dies to Die For. It's a great little collection because there's all sorts of accessories with so he can be a Fireman or a builder or train conductor. I've coloured him with Bright Orange, Mustard, Poppy, Tan, Sky Blue, Vanilla and Cool Aqua Promarkers.
The papers are Bo Bunny 'Very Vintage Double Dot' and My Mind's Eye 'Fly a Kite'. The clouds are Memory Box 'Puffy Clouds' and the banner is La-La Land 'Heart Banner', the sentiment is Lili of the Valley 'Set 6 - Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments' and the brads, button and twine are all from my stash.

Anywho, hope you like it!

Lovely Weekend with Mum and PTW Challenge

Hello! Hope everyone has a had a nice weekend? Went to Mum's on Friday night so we could go and collect lots of my sister's things before she comes home from Uni for the summer and today we decided to power wash the garden path! We'd borrowed John next door's pressure washer to clean a bench so Mum could paint it and John suggested seeing what it would do to the path, it then meant that the OCD part of me couldn't leave a random clean patch in the path so I had to do the whole thing which took about an hour and a half! You can tell by the before and after picture's below that it needed it!

And this is me afterwards! I hadn't planned on doing the path so hadn't brought anything waterproof!

The dog started going mad when we go the hose out to connect to the washer. He absolutely loves chasing the water from the hose, don't know why, he even runs straight into it and gets a face full. We put him in John's garden, because we'd just finished fitting wire around the whole garden so the dog couldn't get out, but he kept jumping up and trying to get over the top which he probably would have managed if we'd left him to try so we put had to put him in the house. He looked so miserable because he thought he was in trouble! We would have let him chase the water but it was so powerful it would have really hurt him.

He was a bit tired after we'd finished because he'd been so excited about everything he hadn't had a nap all day!

Anywho, on to today's card for the latest Papertake Weekly Challenge, 'Hello Boys!':

I've used the seriously cute 'Patchwork Hot Air Balloon' from Lili of the Valley as well as a lot of the new LOTV 'Pretty Vintage' stamp range on this card and they are gorgeous! Everything has been stamped in clear Versamark and then I've used Neutral Grey PanPastel over the top.

Both the background for the image and for the quote were made with two stamps from 'Set 67 - Grunge Swirls', the quote is from 'Set 61 Quotables - Celebrate'. The image is coloured with Cool Grey 1, 2, 3 and 4. And I've used Memory Box 'Moustache' dies to give him a fantastic little moustache!

These three tags are from 'Set 51 - Tags Monsieur'...

Anywho, off to bed now! Hope you like the card!
